Biery Cheese Co. does it again. At this year's World Champioinship Cheese Contest, sponsored by the Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), Biery Cheese was awarded two medals. The silver medal was given for Biery Colored American and a bronze for the Biery White American. With these two medals, the Biery Cheese Co. has accumulated 9 medals in the last four years and 19 medals in the last 12 years.
At the event, there was a record 1,795 entries from 19 nations. 2004 was the previous record with over 1,300 entries. With 50 classes of cheese and butter, every manufacturer competed for gold, silver, and bronze medals and the right to be crowned the world's best cheese.
